Deep Institute takes data privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains who we are, how we collect, share and use Personal Information, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. As Deep Institute grows and evolves, we will continue to focus on strengthening and improving our privacy practices and instruments, for the benefit of our members, students and teachers, contacts, and website visitors.

Privacy Policy: Information We Collect

The Personal Information that we may collect broadly falls into the following categories:

(A) Information you provide to us: In the course of engaging with Deep Institute Services, you may provide Personal Information about you and your Contacts. Personal Information is often, but not exclusively, provided to us when you sign up for and use the Services, consult with our service team and teachers, send us an email, integrate the Services with another website or service (for example, when you choose to connect your account with Deep Institute), or communicate with us in any other way.

We may let you know prior to collection whether the provision of Personal Information we are collecting is compulsory or if it may be provided on a voluntary basis and the consequences, if any, of not providing the information. By giving us this information, you agree to this information being collected, used and disclosed as described in our Terms of Use and in this privacy policy.

(B) Information Deep Institute collects automatically: When you use the Services, the Deep Institute website may automatically collect information about your device and usage of the Services. We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect Personal Information, or information that becomes Personal Information if combined with other information.

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by online service providers in order to make their websites or services work or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information, such as how many instructional units have been passed to upload the next instructional step. Cookies set by Deep Institute as the service provider are called “first party cookies”. Third party cookies enable features or functionality to be provided on or through the website or service you are using (such as advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer when it visits the website or service in question and when it visits certain other websites or services.

Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites and Services to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies enable us and the third parties we work with to track and target the interests of visitors to our Websites, and we may refer to these as “performance” cookies. We may use cookies to tailor content and information that we may send or display to you and otherwise personalize your experience while interacting with our Websites and to otherwise improve the performance of the Services we provide. We also enable users and teachers to employ similar tracking technologies in order to allow us and our teachers to track their subscribers. Finally, third parties serve cookies through our Websites and Services for advertising, analytics, and other purposes.

Essential cookies are necessary to provide the services available through Deep Institute websites and to use its features, such as access to secure areas. Because these cookies are necessary to deliver the websites, you cannot refuse them without impacting how our websites function. You can block or delete them by changing your browser settings.

(C) Information we collect from other sources: We may sometimes obtain information about you or your Contacts from third-party sources, such as public databases, social media platforms, third-party data providers and our joint marketing partners. We take steps to ensure that such third parties are legally or contractually permitted to disclose such information to us. We and our partners may use various technologies to collect and store information when you use our Services, which may include using cookies and similar tracking technologies, such as pixels and web beacons. For example, we may use web beacons in the emails we send on the Deep Institute’s or teachers’ behalf using MailChimp or other third party applications. These web beacons track certain behavior such as whether the email sent through the Services was delivered and opened and whether links within the email were clicked. They also allow us to collect information such as the recipient’s IP address, browser, email client type and other similar details. We use this information to measure the performance of email campaigns, and provide analytics information and enhance the effectiveness of Deep Institute Services. Reports are also available to us when we send email to you, so we may from time to time collect and review that information.

Privacy Policy: Member Distribution Lists

A Distribution List can be created by importing Contacts, such as through a CSV or directly from the teacher’s email address and the email addresses of students. Our Distribution Lists are stored on a secure server. We do not, under any circumstances, sell our Distribution Lists. If someone on our Distribution List complains or contacts us, we might then contact that person. If abusive or illegal behavior related to our Distribution List were detected, we may share our Distribution List or portions of it with affected ISPs or anti-spam organizations to the extent permitted or required by applicable law. If a Contact chooses to use the Forward to a Friend (FTF) link in an email campaign a Member sends, it will allow the Contact to share the Member’s email content with individuals not on the Member’s Distribution List. When a Contact forwards an email to a friend, we do not store the Contact’s email address or their friend’s email address, and no one is added to any Distribution List as a result of the FTF link. The Member who created the email campaign only sees an aggregate number of times their email campaign was forwarded by a Contact and does not have access to the email addresses used to share or receive that forwarded content.

Privacy Policy: Use of Personal Information

The Deep Institute may use Personal Information collected through the Services or other sources for various reasons, including:

Privacy Policy: How We Protect Your Personal Information

We take appropriate security measures (including physical, electronic and procedural measures) to help safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. For example, only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information, and they may do so only for permitted business functions. In addition, we use encryption in the transmission of your sensitive personal information between your system and ours, and we use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal information.

We want you to feel confident using our website for advanced studies. However, no system can be completely secure. Although we take steps to secure your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information, searches, or other communications will always remain secure. We respond to the requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection law. We may ask you to verify your identity in order to help us respond efficiently to your request. The Board of Directors of Deep University Inc intends, in the coming months and years, to get accredited courses that get equivalences in other universities, and accredited graduate and undergraduate programs, as well as institutional accreditation.  The details of the accreditation process are described on Deep Institute website under the thumbnail Administration. You hereby acknowledge that you have read this information.

For instance, Deep Institute may make available to you, as part of your participation in an Online Course, chat room services that allow you to communicate with Deep Institute staff members so that you may ask questions about the academic materials in the Online Course or about your general experiences on the Class Sites. You acknowledge and agree that such services (e.g., chat room services) may be monitored or recorded for quality control purposes and that the information or material provided as part of the services is considered "Content" under these Terms of Use and is provided for educational purposes only.

Links to Other Sites

The Sites may include hyperlinks to sites maintained or controlled by others. Neither Deep Institute nor the Partner Universities are responsible for nor do they routinely screen, approve, review or endorse the contents of or use of any of the products or services that may be offered at these sites.

Online Education Researchz

Records of your participation in Online Courses may be used for researching online education. In the interests of this research, you may be exposed to slight variations in the course materials that will not substantially alter your learning experience. All research findings will be reported at the aggregate level and will not expose your personal identity.

Payment Terms

To purchase any services or products offered by Deep Institute through the Class Sites, you must have Internet access and a current valid accepted payment method as indicated during sign-up ("Payment Method"). You agree to Deep Institute, or its third-party payment provider, storing your payment information. You also agree to pay the applicable fees for the services or products you purchase through Deep Institute Class Sites as they become due, whether on a one-time or subscription basis.

Unless otherwise specified upon enrollment, for subscription products or services, your Payment Method will be authorized for up to approximately six month of service as soon as you register for a paid subscription and on a semester basis thereafter until you cancel the subscription. Failure to pay may result in the termination of your subscription. Depending on where you transact with us, the type of payment method used and where your payment method was issued, your transaction with us may be subject to foreign exchange fees or differences in prices, including because of exchange rates. Deep Institute does not support all payment methods, currencies or locations for payment. Your obligation to pay fees continues through the end of the subscription period during which you cancel your subscription. All applicable taxes are calculated based on the billing information you provide us at the time of purchase. For subscription products or services, you may cancel at any time by going to your account settings. If you cancel a paid subscription during the first 8 days of the first month of the subscription, then you will receive a refund unless otherwise specified during sign-up. With respect to the course subscriptions, you will not receive a refund for a course subscription (1) if you complete the course during the first 8 days and then cancel the subscription for the course, or (2) if you have previously registered for and canceled the same course and received a refund in the previous 6 months. Other than stated above, you hereby acknowledge and agree that Deep Institute will not offer refunds on any fees and charges related to your subscription. This includes any partially used or unused periods for which you have already paid. Your obligation to pay fees continues through the end of the subscription period during which you cancel your subscription. We do not guarantee refunds for lack of usage or dissatisfaction.

In some instances, you will be permitted to pre-enroll in a course subscription before the course has begun on the Course Site. In these cases you will be billed on the day the course begins. You may cancel at any time by going to your account settings. If you cancel your subscription at any time before the course begins, you will not be charged. Also, if you cancel a paid subscription during the first 8 days after the course begins, then you will receive a refund unless otherwise specified during sign-up.

In other instances, your subscription to Deep Institute products or services may start with a free trial. In these cases, the free trial period for any of your subscriptions will last for eight (8) days, or as otherwise specified during sign-up. Free trials for any products or services may not be combined with certain other offers when specified in the offer language. If you have subscribed to a particular paid service or product within the last six (6) months, or if your Payment Method, physical address or email address has been associated with an account for that paid service, you are not eligible to receive a free trial for that service or product. If you begin your subscription with a free trial, we will begin billing your Payment Method for membership fees at the end of the free trial period of your subscription unless you cancel prior to the end of the free trial period. Your Payment Method will be authorized for up to approximately one month of service as soon as you register for a free trial. In some instances, your available balance or credit limit may be reduced to reflect the authorization; however, no charges will be made against the Payment Method unless you do not cancel prior to the end of your free trial period. You may cancel at any time by going to your account settings. If you cancel your subscription during a free trial period, no charges will be made against your Payment Method. You may be ineligible for certain features of a product or service during your free trial period. For example, you cannot be awarded a Verified Certificate or similar certification during your free trial period because you must pay for at least one (1) semester of a course subscription to be eligible for a Verified Certificate in that course.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL DEEP INSTITUTE BE LIABLE TO THE USER OR ANY THIRD PARTY WITH RESPECT TO ANY SUBJECT MATTER OF THESE TERMS OF USE (INCLUDING ANY BREACH OF SECURITY OR DATA LOSS) UNDER ANY CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHER THEORY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OR INACCURACY OF DATA OR DOCUMENTS OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS, SERVICES OR TECHNOLOGY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR WHETHER ANY REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE. DEEP INSTITUTE'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OF USE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF TWENTY U.S. DOLLARS ($20) OR THE AMOUNT OF FEES RECEIVED BY DEEP INSTITUTE FROM THE COMPLAINING USER FOR THE USE OF THE CLASS SITES OR ONLINE COURSES; THE EXISTENCE OF MULTIPLE CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXPAND OR INCREASE THE FOREGOING LIMITATION. Choice of Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, as it is applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Wisconsin and without giving effect to any principles of conflict of laws. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or any content posted to a Site, including copies and republication thereof, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, will be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. Excluding claims for injunctive or other equitable relief, for claims related to the Deep Institute Sites where the total amount sought is less than ten thousand U.S. Dollars ($10,000.00 USD), either Deep Institute or You may elect at any point during the dispute to resolve the claim through binding, non- appearance-based arbitration. DEEP INSTITUTE

Our courses will officially open after approval of the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board, probably in Summer of 2018.

The deep approach is about mindset and embodied action. It is about persons, humans, in the dynamics of living. It is something people want to live and work for. It is never fully achieved, it is always in the making, and depends upon situations.
